The Analytics for Cyber Defense Lab, led by Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman, an assistant professor from FIU’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, focuses on the security and dependability problems for both general networks and cyber-physical systems (CPS). Within cyber systems, including clouds, software-defined networking, and network function virtualization, research is conducted on security metrics, secure and resilient architecture synthesis, network security by deception, proactive defense modeling. With regards to CPS, the lab’s focus is on security analysis and resource management in smart grid, industrial control systems, microgrid, vehicle-to-grid, Internet of Things (IoT), smart manufacturing, and autonomous vehicles.
